Spectra Oven Locked Door

We have a ge spectra stove oven and somehow the self cleaning lock on the oven door got tripped while the oven door was open.

Spectra oven locked door. Grasp the door at the top sides. Now the oven door won t close and the locking latch needs to be returned read more. Once the oven cools after cleaning move the latch to the left to unlock the door. If you haven t cleaned the oven but the door still seems locked try sliding the latch to the left gently without force.

Clear the lock mechanism as indicated by the door loc light by pressing and holding in the oven door light switch for 20 to 30 seconds. The door must be fully opened and each hinge must be locked down against the door frame. While you hold the door jamb switch in this position complete the following steps. 3 set the flashing clock to the current time.

If there are screws near the top or front that attach the oven top to the base unscrew them and pull the oven top up. If that does not unlock the door run a short self clean cycle 1 2 hours.
